Using the Product Seletion Wizard

To create a list of particular products for a campaign:

• Click the box to the left of the product name to select product(s), then
• Click the ADD button to add the selected products to your list.

If your list of available products is long or if there is a multi-level hierarchy of product names, use the wizard features below to help select the products you want to market.

Search boxes – There is one search box for each level in a product hierarchy (you created your hierarchy when you uploaded data using the My Data tab). Enter part or all of the product name in the search box and click Find. If you enter only the letter G, the resulting list will be product or category names containing the letter G.

Right click in columns – You can right click on any text in any column. A pop-up menu will let you find similar items. You can check any or all items that match the text. HINT: This is a quick way to find all the items in a selected category, or items from a selected vendor.

Clear – Clears current criteria and restores the display. All items previously selected will remain in the lower list

Count – Shows the number of customers for the corresponding item, sometimes called Opportunity Count or Oppcount.

Category drop down selector – If your product set has a category descriptor that sorts all the products into a very few classes (for example hardware and software), you can select one using this drop-down menu. If your product set is not categorized the only available option is All. If categorization is present, one option will be selected by default.

Sortable columns – Column names appear as hyperlinks. Clicking on a column name toggles through three sort orders: Ascending, Descending, and Nothing (natural database order).

Navigation bar legend (only appears when multiple pages are present):

• << -- go to beginning
• < -- go back one page
• > -- go forward one page
• >> -- go to last page of products
• Go to button -- transfer to a specific page
• x/y – currently displaying page x of y pages in the current results set

Global check box – In the upper Left is a check box that selects all the items in the current result set.

Add and Remove buttons - Use these buttons to add or remove items from the target list of items you’ve selected (lower list). When you add an item to your selected item list, it disappears from the Products available (upper) list. If you remove an item from your selected targets list, it will reappear in the Products available list.

Done – Closes the wizard and returns to the target list selection process.
